Great outdoor mountain bike, hike, horseback ride. Beautiful area in the middle of Evergreen. Trails for every skill level. Well kept up park.
My girlfriend and I woke up before Dawn so we could have a sunrise hike in Alderfer. The drive in was very easy, the roads are well maintained and easy to find by following the signs. The trail was beautiful, we saw a black fox bouncing in the field and the view of the continental divide was stunning.
Very nice park, Jefferson county does a great job maintaining all the parks in the county. Lots of trails with something for everyone here. Great place for a family picnic, but the park is very busy so parking can be an issue.
This was a decent hiking trail. Very moderate incline, only about 860ft gained. Good to take inexperienced hikers on, or just to enjoy the views which are beautiful closer to the top. Overall a very nice hiking trail.
