It is a clean, lovely hotel in a beautiful location, hopefully they will get the wedding guest management fine-tuned in the near future to make it less stressful for wedding groups, and themselves.
We stayed at the Comfort Suites in Evergreen Colorado. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There were many other weddings going on that weekend and everyone needed an early check-in. The cleaning staff worked their tails off to get everyone in early, to be helpful and they did a really good job. John the Manager was very kind and helpful and patient with all of the demands and activity he had going on. He was so friendly and it was greatly appreciated. The bed was so comfortable I wanted to bring it home. It was a wonderful experience.
This place is top notch folks!! I know we WILL BE BACK!!!
What put the icing on the cake was when I had specifically requested my age 87 mother be housed on the 1st floor, and I double-checked a few days prior to make sure this was in fact, going to happen. Nope, she had been placed on an upper level, and I was asked by them, "why can't she just take the elevator?", and was also told by the hotel that "technically they don't have a 1st floor". Really--I saw one?
Our daughter was married in August at Evergreen Lake House, and so the bridal party and guests stayed at this Comfort Suites. When my daughter and I visited the site, and were making arrangements, we were "lead to believe" that our block of rooms especially for the wedding party and immediate family guests would be located on the 3rd floor. We had asked for specific rooms, mostly for our plans for photos, and socializing. What actually did happen was that our daughter did not get the jacuzzi room she had requested because on our check-in day, another reservation (not in our group), arrived early and received that room. So they didn't honor this request, and quite honestly can't handle advance reservations very efficiently, even though, their cancellation policy for this was 7 days prior.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh, hot and fully stocked at all times. The rooms were nice. Beds are comfortable. The scene is magnificent. There is also a Wal-Mart up the street. All of the buildings in the area have a log cabin look. I should definitely stay here again.
We just returned home to the East Coast from Colorado and I must say the Comfort Suites Golden West in Evergreen Colorado is one of the BEST five night stays we've ever had. From it's beautiful decor and setting in tree lined rolling hills flanked by mountains to the bountiful breakfast buffet; clean well equipped rooms, and friendly (above and beyond) service. This place had everything we could ask for including first floor pet friendly rooms with their own backyard and walking trail. We stayed on the second floor and didn't hear a sound from other rooms or hallway noise. Even the guests were friendly, adding to the charm of this place. One morning as I was leaving breakfast two genuine cowboys checking in at the front desk greeted me with a hearty "Morning Ma'am" and tip of their hats. We woke up to a fresh powdery snowfall our last morning in town to complete the setting in this beautiful place. Oh and I can't forget the fresh hot GIANT cookies we were surprised with at check-in and the snack sacks they provided in the lobby for traveling business guests!
Fairly standard hotel. Clean. Seems they've renovated recently, everything looks new. Breakfast is included, it's about what you'd expect: eggs, a meat, yogurt, cereal, fruit. The restaurant is much cooler than you'd expect. It's a microbrewery. Their beers are quite good. There's also a full bar, and the bartender was pretty good.
